Umpire Factors represent how much effect an umpire has on various hitter and pitcher statistics
for games in which they were the home plate umpire.
Boost Stats: These metrics represent how batting statistics are effected when an umpire is behind home plate.
For example: If an umpire's K Boost = 1.45x, it means that for games in which he is the home plate umpire, there are 45% more strikeouts than the average.
Stats Glossary:
- K % = Strike Out Rate
- BB % = Walk Rate
- RPG = Runs Per Game
- BA = Batting Average
- OBP = On Base Percentage (H + BB + HBP)/(At Bats + BB + HBP + SF)
- SLG = Slugging Percentage (Total Bases/At Bats)
- K Boost = Strike Out Boost
- BB Boost= Walk Boost
- R Boost= Run Boost
- BA Boost= Batting Average Boost
- OBP Boost= On Base Percentage Boost

All stats date back to 2008 Season
Coming Soon: We will be releasing more accurate versions of these stats that account for biases, such as an umpire calling more games with better pitchers (who throw more strikeouts), etc.
